Overview: LSAC/LawHub needed a DEI-themed sticker designed to spark conversations with students. They wanted the sticker to be fun and vibrant, but intentionally not a branded LawHub piece.  The goal was to create something that felt meaningful and visually engaging for an audience of aspiring law students. The sticker had to be completed in one week.
The Concept: Because LSAC supports students on their path to law school, the sticker needed to feel inspiring and inclusive without being corporate. The phrase "A just and prosperous world begins with me" was provided as a guiding message, and shaped the direction.
The Design Decisions: I started with Pinterest to gather inspiration before moving into Adobe Illustrator to develop concepts. To ensure the illustration style felt cohesive with LawHub's existing visual language, I referenced their brand style guide as a foundation.
Color was approached intentionally, drawing from research on DEI color symbolism, including a study on Georgetown University's Office of Student Equity and Inclusion logo and an article by NoisyVision on yellow as the color of inclusion. Each color carried meaning: red for perseverance, blue for compassion, green for growth, yellow for glory and inclusion, and so on. I developed two concepts. The first featured diverse illustrated figures arranged in a circle with yellow at the center. The second used a geometric pattern of nine squares with half circles, complementary colors, and illustrated faces within each shape. Both centered the guiding phrase. The second concept was selected based on client feedback.
The Result: The final sticker strikes the balance the client was looking for, vibrant and student-friendly, with a message that invites conversation. Every color choice was deliberate and rooted in research, giving the piece a layer of intentionality that goes beyond aesthetics.
